I can't tell if I'm just blinded by nostalgia but I definitely can't really get into their newer stuff.. That's not to say it isn't good but I absolutely adore their old aesthetics and music genre focus. This goes for the art style and character design elements as well. The punk rock/hip-hop stuff was really cool. I can see them not being as successful in the current musical industry ecosystem if they decided to implement these elements again but man, I miss them.

How about White Light, Murdoc is God or Spitting Out The Demons? I'd consider those pretty rock songs, but it's a shame that after Demon Days, there weren't really many rock-oriented songs. :/ These songs definitely kick ass though, especially Punk, this, and Spitting Out The Demons.

Eh, I feel like Re-Hash is a positive and fun song that starts the album on an upbeat tone, but it wouldn't deter from my experience if that was the ending song. (I'd say M1 A1 ends the album on a badass way that I feel like it's just the gang having a good time on the highway and driving around.) Still the best opening to a concert though, builds up the energy and hype immensely. :D

The majority of this CD is good. Worth listening to. I listened to it often back when I first got it in the 2000's. Early, after it first came out.

Holy shit each member just goes fuckin nuts on this track!!! If anything, 2-D is the one taking the backseat, we’ve already experienced all he’s had to say & his attempt to numb his sadness with great music obviously up to this point in the album with this being the closer, all he has to do is bring the energy & (at least try to) match the other three to finish the album off with a fuckin THRILL. Wish there was a video!

God this song gives me such adrenaline! I think it's just because Damon opens the concerts with this song and just gets you so hyped!

Hearing the part when the first bit cuts off reminds me of when I went to see them live with my dad who also loves Gorillaz and I swear the buildup amd just the moment when Damon starts singing and the lights flash is seriously something that I will never forget

My first time watching Day Of The Dead tonight and now, after 18 years of being a Gorillaz fan (26 now), I know where the opening comes from 😂

It's still an impressive song. Damon works better in his Gorillaz proyect. And Blur is great... So, Gorillaz is and will be a great music experiment.

You don't laugh because it fits the song well. I don't laugh because I've seen the movie that the "hello" bit comes from and therefore know the quite terrifying context. We are not the same.

I saw their concert last night (best concert I've ever been to btw) and they started the show with this song and it was an AMAZING choice. Perfect song to start with.

Saw Gorillaz in concert last September! I was hyped up right from the start because they played this as the first song!!

Vincent La Voie In the video for Rock The House it starts out with Noodle riding a trike through the hall at King studios, And in the video for 19-2000 you can see there is an exit for the Overlook Hotel. I'm pretty sure I'm missing some other ones too

Day of the Dead might be my favorite zombie movie ever

Great album ender and surprisingly great opener for the live concerts.

Whenever I listen to this song it makes me emotional It’s dumb but this song was a kick off to both of the concerts I went to back in 2017 and 2 days ago on Oct 12th 2022 It brings back all the fun memories I had and I just wish I can go back and experience that all over again

lol this is probably one of the most exciting songs of all time and it has the least views of any song on this album... maybe because the build up is so long?

After listening to this again I can understand why this is Mudz's favorite song out of the album. It really has that rock feel that he likes

When the song switched from the repeating "Hello is anyone there?" to the other part of the song I jumped... I was not expecting it to change so suddenly.

Holy shit this song is such a bop. I love how it starts off seeming like it will conform to the other songs on the album (synth and groove-oriented, dreamy type stuff) and slowly begins to switch it up as the song progresses. UNDERRATED BANGER ALERT!
